Make sustainability part of workplace life
An Office Farm turns sustainable food growing into something people can take part in.
How can a Farm support workplace sustainability?

An Office Farm brings food production directly into the workplace, reducing the distance between where food is grown and where it is eaten. Our hydroponic growing systems use significantly less land and water than conventional agriculture, while crops are grown without pesticides or herbicides.

Also, by putting food production somewhere people encounter it every day, Farms can also create opportunities to talk about food systems, waste and sustainable choices.

The environmental benefits of a Farm
95%
less water
Our closed-loop hydroponic systems use 95% less water than conventional agriculture.
98%
less land
Vertical growing allows our Farms to use up to 98% less land than traditional agriculture.
43%
lower CO2 emisions
Our lettuce has been calculated to produce 43% lower COâ‚‚ emissions than the UK average
No pesticides
or herbicides
Crops are grown indoors without pesticides or herbicides, avoiding harmful runoff.

Sustainability you can see
An Office Farm brings sustainability out from behind reports and policies and into the everyday workplace. Plants grow in front of employers, occupiers and visitors, making sustainability visible.

Get people involved
Our farmers don't simply maintain the Farms. Regular harvests and events give workplace communities opportunities to get involved. From pesto-making and growing workshops to tastings and educational sessions, Farm experiences can help organisations start conversations around food, growing, nutrition and sustainability.
From Farm to plate
Where a Farm is integrated with workplace catering, crops can travel just a few metres from the Farm to the kitchen. Chefs can incorporate freshly harvested herbs and leafy greens into dishes, salad bars and drinks, while employees can see where some of their food has been grown.
