Chive Butter

Because sometimes, plain old butter just won't cut it. Try it with a soft German Pretzel.  Also works great with sage or basil.

Prep time: 5 minutes l Total time: 1 hour

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a spoon.
Transfer to a piece of wax paper and roll it into a log, pinching the ends of the paper when finished. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Use within two weeks. Can also be frozen.

Ingredients

100-150g unsalted butter, room temperature
3 tbsp chives, finely chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp lemon zest
