Introducing The Felix Farm
At The Felix Food Factory, we work with Square Mile Farms to use innovative hydroponic farming techniques to grow plants without soil, instead nourishing them with nutrient-rich water and specialised LED lighting. The fresh produce harvested here goes directly into recipes created at the Food Factory, helping extend the life of donated ingredients and reducing food waste. By using crops immediately after harvesting, we ensure maximum flavour and nutritional value, providing healthy, delicious meals that are then distributed to people in need across London.

This 7 metre long farm wall is growing 441 plants all year round!

This farm will grow almost 500kg of produce per year to be used in The Felix Food Factory kitchen.

No Soil: The plants are grown in nutrient-rich water, eliminating the need for soil and chemical pesticides.

Faster Growth: Plants grow more quickly due to precision over nutrients and growing conditions.
Nutrient-Rich Water Circulation: Ensures optimal plant health by delivering essential minerals directly to the roots.
LED Lighting: Provides the necessary light for plant growth, replacing natural sunlight making seasonal produce available 365 days of the year.
